LIFE is hanging tightly to the fiery tail of creativity, riding its powerful crest, remaining faithful that this is all leading to something magnificent. It MUST! So I'm trying to live life to its fullest potential, every day. I love to laugh, learn, explore, share, evolve, and overcome. I hope that you too are enjoying your journey! :)

I am an Educator, Technologist, Media Scientist, Sound Designer, Sound Scientist, Singer, Performer, DJ, Media Artist, Educational Innovator, Composer, Music-Maker, and Devoted Friend.

I got my BA in Media Science with a concentration in Audio from NJCU, and had a great experience there - having a chance to meet and work with UltraViolet, one of Warhol's superstars (among other great experiences). I also went to film school in NY at SVA and one class was taught by Chris Newman, a well known sound engineer. He inspired me with his lessons and stories to pursue my passion of sound design & foley recording. This eventually led me to train as an Audio Engineer and then a job as a Sound Designer at Rainbow Studios in Phoenix AZ. From there I returned to academia to complete a Masters in Education in Educational Technology, which inspired me to join the SMALLab team at the School of Arts Media & Engineering at Arizona State University. From 2009-2012, I worked with the " K-12 Embodied & Mediated Learning" research group as a Media Arts & Science PhD student, jointly affiliated with the Ira Fulton School of Engineering & the Herberger School of Design & Arts.

I am constantly looking for new ways to inspire and foster the designing and developing novel interfaces and effective and impactful learning experiences in both formal and informal settings; by using video game mechanics and gameplay principles, learners of all ages and experiences can have moments of punctuated equilibrium in their casual learning encounters and become smarter when they least expect it!
