Jonathan started as a high school substitute teacher. In a 10 year period, he sandwiched subbing around opening a Target store as an overnight flow manager, a Jollibee fast food restaurant, & owning/operating a smog check station. After realizing how much he enjoyed teaching, he went back to school to get his teaching credential and went from tutoring students from K-12 to teaching 6th grade. After teaching at L.U.C.H.A. Elementary School for 7 years, he started a new journey in administration. After serving as an assistant principal at a TK-8 & TK-6 school, he was given the opportunity to lead one school with a media arts focus into a TK-8th-grade academy. Jonathan appreciates all the learning he's taken in through CUE & feeds off the inspiration & ideas other CUE members bring to the education game. Despite the challenges that come with the position, he continues to "go hard" & RTTF in year #2!
