The Los Angeles Unified School District is transforming teaching and learning by providing each of its 700,000 students with a state-of-the-art, personal computing device to allow for more individualized instruction. Through the use of a powerful, digital curriculum and an extensive catalogue of e-resources, students will develop knowledge, skills and abilities needed to graduate high school and become college and career ready in a 21st Century world. The panel discussion will include representatives from LAUSD’s Common Core Technology Project and will focus on how K-12 students and teachers in the Nation’s 2nd largest school district are leveraging technology to meet the Common Core State Standards, foster creativity and innovation and develop critical thinking skills.
