Chris is an educational technology consultant as a member of Instructional Technology Outreach for the Los Angeles County Office of Education. She has worked in this position since 2000. As a Consultant she works with 80 school districts in the County of Los Angeles. Additionally, she devotes a great amount of time to assisting LACOE's Division of Student Programs which serves incarcerated youth and students with special needs. Before she came to the County Chris was a 4 - 6 grade teacher for fourteen years, working one year in the small district of Sanger, CA, then I spending her remaining classroom years in the small district of Wilsona, CA, in the northeast corner of Los Angeles County. She initially became interested in educational technology while she was taking a technology class for my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. She began using many forms of technology with her students, beginning with Apple Logo and progressing to gaming and research as technologies for the classroom grew and changed. She has always had a passion for integrating technology into the curriculum, and her classroom experience has helped her to develop training and professional development that teachers can use with their own students.
